Allergen Policy
Top Notch Catering is committed to reducing the risk to all customers regarding provision of food and the consumption of allergens which could lead to any allergic reactions by following the processes found in our Allergen Policy.
However please note the following important information:
Our Food is prepared in a kitchen which is not NUT Free.
For all our customers including those with declared allergies, we undertake the utmost care to produce a safe product for you. This includes the use of approved suppliers. While looking after all our customers and due to the nature of our business, we cannot guarantee that products prepared in our premises are free from allergenic ingredients due to the risk of cross contamination. Therefore, our products may potentially contain one or more of the following 14 declarable allergens:
Celery, Cereals containing Gluten, Crustaceans, Eggs, Fish, Lupin, Milk, Molluscs, Mustard, Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Sesame, Soya, Sulphites
Dietary Requirements
If any customer needs any food for their dietary requirements, bearing in mind our allergen disclaimer above, we do work continuously on the following five factors to ensure we do as much as possible to minimise risk and provide safe products
1. Use of Nominated and Approved Suppliers
We only use nominated and approved suppliers to ensure we can have full traceability of all supplies received. We work closely with supplier to ensure we have up to date and clear labelling of all products that contain allergens. Any new products supplied are routinely checked for allergen information in accordance with our allergen policy.
2. Pristine Commercial Kitchen and Practices
Our premises is a commercial kitchen designed by experts and purpose built to produce safe food daily. We have strict cleaning schedules in place and are maintained to HACCP principles.
3. Effective Training
All our chefs and food handlers have the appropriate food hygiene certificates and allergen training and adhere to HACCP principled food handling standards. This results in maintaining rigid food hygiene standards in our kitchen
4. Audits
We work with expert food hygiene consultants who advise, train and audit our premises and operating procedures.
5. Preparing of food with dietary requirements
All our food that is from our dietary menus are always made using strict protocols of cleaning, separation and segregation, from the utensils used, ingredients, right through to our labelling packing and delivery process, to ensure that any cross-contamination risk are minimised as much as possible.
