Mental Health Awareness Week – 13th to 19th May 2024

Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental Health Awareness Week

At Top Notch Catering we are working hard to focus on mental wellbeing and ensure that the workplace is a happy place to be. Many of our customers regularly use either a team breakfast or lunch to promote collegiality and well-being. Sometimes it’s the little things that make all the difference. Here our suggestions to help you to promote positivity and team building in the workplace: 1) Bond over Breakfast – Providing a hearty yet healthy breakfast for your team is good for the body, mind, and spirit. It’s a great way to start the day. 2) Coffee, Cake and Chat – Taking 10 minutes out of the day to chit-chat over a coffee can be just enough to rejuvenate the brain. Discussing which network series to binge next or the newest restaurants opening this weekend whilst enjoying a coffee and cake, is time well spent in the workplace. Taking a break can improve motivation and calm anxiety. 3) Lunch with the team – Get people away from their desks at lunchtime to take a real break and enjoy conversations that don’t involve contracts or deadlines. Team lunches cultivate camaraderie and those friendships make an impact on our overall wellbeing. Working with friends beats the alternative any day of the week. Please do get in touch with the team if you would like to arrange any activity to help you promote positivity and mental wellness for your team. Email: hello@topnotchcatering.co.uk Tel: 01923 883163

Pay It Forward

We have worked with Enra Specialist Finance for a few years now and they regularly host monthly breakfasts and lunches for their staff to show their appreciation, build team spirit and promote wellbeing.
Enra are also very committed to supporting charities that have an impact on individuals within the local community. They have partnered with the Meriden Food Bank to help individuals and families in Watford. In a mission to spread the love and pay it forward, they ask their team to bring in items to donate to the food bank see details on the poster below).
The most recent team lunch celebrated St Patrick’s Day with a bespoke Irish Club menu and you can see a sample of what was collected below following this lunch. Also, the building reception where Enra has it’s offices will now collect donations from all businesses located there.

Mediterranean Themed Team Lunch

Another monthly team lunch for Enra and hoping that the Sun gods would approve the team chose a Mediterranean themed lunch for this occasion. This menu included Grilled Chicken Kulbasti, Schicken skewers, Stuffed Courgettes with Oat Crumb, Mushrooms filled with Mediterranean Veg and Cheese, Tabbouleh Top Notch style plus a huge selection of accompaniments flatbreads, pilaf rice, tzatziki and hummus. And as if this wasn’t enough there was a hearty sponge pudding with lashings of custard to keep everyone happy!
